Hatha Yoga

Everyone can practice yoga

Everyone can practice yoga. Yoga is an ancient tradition, with the earliest writings dating back more than 5,000 years. It is more than just that one hour per week on the mat, although it offers a valuable starting point. In practice, you explore the fundamentals of tension and relaxation, physical flexibility, and awareness.

Even if you feel that you are not flexible, struggle to find calm, or are unsure how yoga works, there is no need to worry. During the class, you will be guided step by step.

What does a class look like?

The class lasts 60 minutes. During these 60 minutes, various elements are covered. We move, explore the body and our personal limits, and practice mindfulness exercises. The class always ends with a final relaxation; in yoga terms, this is called savasana.

The goal of yoga

The beauty of it is that there is no goal. In daily life, we already have to do enough. During yoga, we shift from a state of doing to a state of being—becoming present in the here and now, and in the body.

You can follow my guidance while also listening to your own body.

How can I prepare for class?

Wear light and comfortable clothing, and it is better to dress a bit too warm so you can take something off if needed, rather than too cold. Some of the movements are slow, so comfort is important. You may also bring something to drink; there is always tea at the end of the class.

Give yourself a calm transition from your journey to the yoga class. Take your time getting here, and allow yourself a moment to settle in once you arrive.
